Rubik’s Cube is a 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Erno Rubik. Originally called the “Magic Cube”,the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp. in 1980 and won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide making it the world’s top-selling puzzle game.It is widely considered to be the world’s best-selling toy. Here is a way to lubricate it.

1)Rotate one side of the Rubik’s cube 45 degrees to let the corners stick out and take the center piece out of the top layer of the Rubik’s cube using a screwdriver.

2)Use a spray lubricant that is silicone-based to spray the inside of the cube.

3)Put the center piece back into its correct place and spin the cube for several minutes.

1)Choose one color to start with.

2)Turn the cube to form a right-angled cross  of the color you have chosen.

3)Place the colored squares which match each side’s top row middle square and rotate the cube to make each side-face center square match the color of the top row middle square.

4)Rotate the cube to make the three of the top faces’ corner squares match up with each other.

5)Rotate the cube to make the top side face down and solve three of the second layer’s edge pieces by rotating the lower slice horizontally.

6)Hold the cube with the original color face pointing upwards.  A square is maybe in the correct space, but needs to be rotated for the color to match its adjacent squares. Turn the layer vertically to make the desired square  on the cube’s bottom layer and turn horizontally to align the square opposite its final position, and then rotate the layer vertically to put it into its correct place.
7)Match up the corner pieces of the bottom layer.

1)First you need to solve the centers of each side.
2)The green center is on the opposite side of the cube from the blue center. Red is opposite orange and yellow is opposite white.
3)Rotate the cube to make each edge piece match up with another edge piece.
4)Then solve it just as a 3×3 rubik’s cube.

1)First you need to solve the four center pieces of the cube.

2) Solve the two outer-center squares on two opposite edges of each face by rotating the 4×4 Rubix Cube.

3)Then you could solve the Rubix Cube 4×4 as a3x3 in the proceeding process.

3)Rotate the cube to make the white side face down, then rotate pieces to make a vertical line of blue cubes.

4)Solve the yellow cross.

5)Solve the yellow corners.

6)Rotate the yellow corners to make the top left and top right blue and orange cubes  in the correct places.

7)Finish the cube by locating the final yellow pieces.

1)Each cube has six different colored faces each consisting of nine blocks. Three different types of blocks exist, center pieces in the middle of each side, edge pieces located in the middle of rows with two colors and corner pieces located on the corners with three colors.

2)For beginners:experiment with solving one side without using any algorithms to have a better understanding towards the cube.

3)Pick a face of your cube as the top and keep it in that way all the time when you are solving the cube.

4)Play the puzzle with the help of different algorithms.
